Message to people from Jesus Christ
In the beginning of the Book of Hebrews, apostle Paul says: "God, having of old time spoken unto the fathers in the prophets by divers portions and in divers manners, hath at the end of these days spoken unto us in his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, through whom also he made the worlds."
Unfortunately, we have to admit that even if the majority of the people confess themselves to be Christians but, although the religious calendars are full of a lot of holidays related to the activity of Jesus Christ on Earth, the teaching taught by God's Son is unknown and then the mankind is alienated more and more from God by its character, hopes and customs.
Why mankind is alienating more and more from the Christian moral? Why is alienating from God? Bible shows us the reason for this situation which is not new in the mankind history: "for Jehovah hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land, because there is no truth, nor goodness, nor knowledge of God in the land." - Hosea 4:1
Dear reader, because we think that the real reason for humans' alienation from God is the lack of knowledge, we would like to discover in few words and by means of the Holy Scripture which was the message to people from Jesus Christ. It is true that the tumult of the modern life takes away from people a lot of time, but, for those who fear God, the words of Bible must have a particular importance: "For I desire goodness, and not sacrifice; and the knowledge of God more than burnt-offerings." - Hosea 6:6
Moses, the greatest prophet of the beginning history of God's people, was inspired to write: "I will raise them up a prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee; and I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him. And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him." Deuteronomy 18:18,19.
More than 34 scriptural arguments demonstrate that Jesus Christ can be certainly identified as Messiah, God's promised Anointed One. All these scriptural arguments are coming true in his life and activity, from his birth to his death.
After his baptism in Jordan's waters, the first words of Jesus for the people were the following: "Repent ye; for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." (Matei 4:17). These words emphasises two important aspects: 1) that each man should stop doing bad things, confess his sins, start knowing and doing the will of God; and 2) that the Kingdom is at hand.
Explaining what mean the words of Jesus, "repent ye", apostle Paul speaks to Athenians like this: "The God that made the world and all things therein, he, being Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands; neither is he served by men's hands, as though he needed anything, seeing he himself giveth to all life, and breath, and all things; and he made of one every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed seasons, and the bounds of their habitation; that they should seek God, if haply they might feel after him and find him, though he is not far from each one of us: for in him we live, and move, and have our being; as certain even of your own poets have said, For we are also his offspring. Being then the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Godhead is like unto gold, or silver, or stone, graven by art and device of man. The times of ignorance therefore God overlooked; but now he commandeth men that they should all everywhere repent: inasmuch as he hath appointed a day in which he will judge the world in righteousness by the man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead." - Acts 17:24-31
Regarding God's Kingdom, Jesus uttered a lot of parables which were interpreted by him to the apostles, and by means of the Bible, the understanding of this great truth can be available for anybody. The truth about God's Kingdom is not restricted to some particular persons. That's way He told this truth in public and then sent his followers to proclaim the truths uttered by Him to the unto the uttermost part of the earth. Since then, this truth is known as "the Gospel of the Kingdom" or "the good news of Kingdom". "Hear then ye the parable of the sower. When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the evil one, and snatcheth away that which hath been sown in his heart. This is he that was sown by the way side. And he that was sown upon the rocky places, this is he that heareth the word, and straightway with joy receiveth it; yet hath he not root in himself, but endureth for a while; and when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, straightway he stumbleth. And he that was sown among the thorns, this is he that heareth the word; and the care of the world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful. And he that was sown upon the good ground, this is he that heareth the word, and understandeth it; who verily beareth fruit, and bringeth forth, some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty."
God's Kingdom is not only about the world of spirits, which is a fact demonstrated by the prayer Jesus taught us to raise: "After this manner therefore pray ye. Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, as in heaven, so on earth..." (Mathew 6:9,10). Also, Jesus Christ said: "Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth." (Mathew 5:5)
Jesus Christ's Father, who has sent His Son to tell the truth, has a name. This name of the Father, Jehovah God, will be sanctified by the demonstration of His power and will put an end to this wickedness caused by the rebel spirit, Satan the Devil. This will happen by the destruction of Satan and his organization both visible and invisible in the great distress which will strike the Earth, the great war of the Almighty God, the Armageddon. Then, His original purpose regarding the Earth planet will be fulfilled according to His words: "For thus saith Jehovah that created the heavens, the God that formed the earth and made it, that established it and created it not a waste, that formed it to be inhabited: I am Jehovah; and there is none else." - Isaiah 45:18
Furthermore, in the revelation given by the glorified Jesus Christ to the apostle John, the following aspect is recorded: "And I heard a great voice out of the throne saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he shall dwell with them, and they shall be his peoples, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God: and he shall wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death shall be no more; neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, any more: the first things are passed away. And he that sitteth on the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he saith, Write: for these words are faithful and true." - Revelation 21:3-5
Dear reader, accepting the testimony from Jesus Christ, is the first step to eternal life. Jesus has illustrated this aspect in the following words: "Every one therefore that heareth these words of mine, and doeth them, shall be likened unto a wise man, who built his house upon the rock: and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and if fell not: for it was founded upon the rock. And every one that heareth these words of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, who built his house upon the sand: and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and smote upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall thereof." - Mathew 7:24-27
